Keeping your swim baited, isn't always as easy as you may think, but trying this weeks Top Tip will help you to achieve this.

"To create a compact bed of feed in a fast-water swim, introduce the feed by using a PVA funnel-web bag, as this also keeps the free offerings close to your hook bait. Add a couple of stones so that it sinks quickly to the desired spot. A relatively cheap way of keeping that swim baited."

Recipe for Boilies

1 Egg
1 Sachet of 'Go Cat' (or similar cat food)
1 to 2 Tablespoons of liquid meat ( maybe 'Van den eynde' liquid meat)
50/50 boilie base mix

Method

Mash the cat meat down with a fork to as smooth a paste as you can, then add the liquid meat. Beat the egg, add to mixture and blend together. Gradually add base mix little by little as you go, until a putty like consistency is achieved. Roll into whatever size balls you want, and boil for 2 to 3 minutes depending on the size.

Tip: Keep a little of the paste separate and use this as a wrap for around the boilie when fishing

This is a very good bait for Barbel and Chub and maybe carp if you're lucky!!!
